Before putting your property on the market, staging your outdoor space is an absolute must, especially at this time of year.

Give your garden the wow factor it deserves by making your patio or decking area welcoming by adding an additional seating and dining space to your home.

Clean it!
Prepare the space by giving the area a good sweep and clean. Get rid of the cobwebs and use a jet wash for larger areas. Wipe down existing furniture and throw away broken and old outdoor items.

Creating the seating area

Whether you have a large terrace, or a small patio, add some kind of seating to demonstrate how the space can be used. If you have a small back yard, then add a simple bench and a small side table or use comfy arms chairs and an outdoor sofa for a bigger space.

Make it cosy

This space is no different to your indoor rooms – add some cushions, a throw and even a rug to create that inviting, relaxing vibe.

Add those finishing touches

Help potential buyers visualise entertaining in your outdoor space by styling with accessories. Add a suitable tray to your table filled with glassware, drinks and of course a small vase of flowers or, my favourite – a pot of fresh herbs.

Plant up your pots

Group plants pots and planters filled with colourful flowers or gorgeous green plants on your patio or terrace area to complete the look.
