Who uses a home stager?

Anyone who is planning to sell their home or property.

 

  • 83% of estate agents said that home staging made it easier for the buyers to visualise the property as their future home and that 100% of staged homes sell faster, (Home Staging Association Report, 2021).
  • The service is flexible and specific to each customer, whether your property is occupied, partially furnished or empty.
Who uses a professional organiser?

Anyone who needs help with sorting and organising an aspect of their life.

 

  • If you have a busy work and home life you may have difficulty finding time to organise and then tasks become overwhelming.
  • A change in your personal life may mean that you need some help with practical tasks to make this change less emotional and easier to manage.
  • There may be jobs which you have been putting off because they feel too much to start on your own. I can help you with these jobs.
How much do you charge?

How long will it take? How many sessions will I need?
  • Each client is different and it depends on the space I am staging or organising. I will include timelines and approx. hours needed in the staging quote.
  • When decluttering and organising alongside the client, I can work quickly but will work at your pace and encourage you to keep on track throughout the process.
Do you supply furniture and accessories?

When staging an occupied property, I will work with what the client has and then make suggestions on what should be purchased to complete the staging ‘look’. These items can then be used in your new home.

 

I have a selection of soft furnishings and accessories that can be hired if you would rather not buy those items yourself. These can be used for the photoshoot and viewings.

Do you rent out furniture?

No, but I can recommend 3rd party supplies who can help.

Will you make me throw things away?

Definitely not. I will guide and help you decide what to keep and what to throw away. I will then help you organise and display what you have kept. The aim is to create mental and physical space to make your life more manageable.

 

When staging, we may decide to put certain items into storage whilst selling house to create the space needed to present your home at its best.

What happens to items that we throw away?

I would encourage you to recycle and donate the items as much as possible. I can suggest local charities who will delighted to receive goods and I can take this for you after the session (up to 1 car load). I cannot take general waste to the local authority recycling centres but can help you load your own vehicle to do so.

What about storage?

Once we have decluttered you may find that you have sufficient storage for all your belongings. If needed, I can advise on, and recommend a range of storage solutions.

What records will you keep about me?

This is a confidential service, and your personal data is treated with respect. As a member of the ICO, any personal data provided with your permission will be held in accordance with the current data protection legislation.

Will you take photos?

If you are happy for photos to be taken, you may find that ‘before and after’ images are a great way to see the results and celebrate what has been achieved.

 

I may ask if you are happy for me to share images on my social media or website. This will not be done without agreement.

Are you part of a professional body?

Yes, I am a qualified home staging and styling professional with CHSSP. I am a verified member of HSA, the Home Staging Association UK & Ireland and APDO, the UK’s membership association for decluttering and organising professionals. Are you insured?

Yes, Simply Living Today is covered by Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance with Westminster Insurance.
